Project Updates

After months of planning and negotiation, the Highmore City Council signed a contract with  with Carrothers Construction Company on October 20th,  2022,  formally committing to a new pool, with the design as shown below.

Per the contract, estimated completion date is May 18, 2024 (with a 30-day-leeway). We are looking forward to having a functioning pool available for all ages in our community by summer 2024.

Both the Highmore City Council and Hyde County Commissioners have committed $500,000 to this project, with a total cost of $2.35 million. Hyde CPR has been tasked with raising the remaining funds.

Hyde CPR has been actively raising money, acquiring donations and corporate sponsorships. To date, over $370,000 cash has been received. This does not include any pledges or funds from our ongoing Chase the Ace fundraiser.

As a 501(c)3 organization, your donation to Hyde CPR is tax deductible! Contributions from the sale of grain or livestock are also possible. Quoin Bank has partnered with our group to set up automatic withdrawals and payments for your donations and pledges. If your business is interested in a corporate sponsorship, we would love to discuss possibilities! Options are available for purchasing specific "a la carte" pieces of equipment, as well as larger, lump sum donations. 

Donors will be featured on a permanent display at the new pool. Corporate sponsorships and donors of large sums will be recognized through special signage throughout the facility. There are multiple areas to be featured in the bathhouse, on the pool deck and surrounding structures.
